CCMA briefs media on 2020/21 – 2024/25 Strategy, 3 Mar

Launch of new CCMA Strategy in response to the labour Market challenges

The current five (5) year strategy of the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), the Senz’Umehluko Strategy, reaches its completion at the end of the 2019/20 financial year (31 March 2020).

As of 1 April 2020, the CCMA will implement its new strategy, covering the five (5) year period of 2020/21 – 2024/25. The new strategy was formulated after a rigorous process, which included a comprehensive situational analysis, which unveiled key labour market challenges that the CCMA is to respond to, as well as the prioritisation of extensive internal and external stakeholder consultations, including all social partners.

The CCMA Director, Mr. Cameron Morajane, will on Tuesday, 03 March 2020, brief members of the media, stakeholders and invited guests on the new strategic direction of the CCMA for the next five (5) years, in response to the needs of the labour market.

The new strategic pillars, linked programmes and projects, will be outlined, including plans on how the CCMA aims to enhance labour market stability and provide efficient and quality dispute resolution and enforcement services. All initiatives are aimed at supporting the attainment of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2030.
