Media breakfast to launch the Bhisho Revitalisation programme and commemorate the Bhisho massacre

The Department of Roads and Public Works on behalf of the provincial government and in partnership with Buffalo City municipality and the Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture has initiated the Bhisho Revitalisation programme to promote sustainable local economic development.

The main focus of this programme is to contribute towards the revival and rejuvenation of the local economy of Bhisho/King William's Town as the seat of the Eastern Cape provincial government.

The historic launch of this flagship project will be announced in the form of a media breakfast on Friday, 17 September 2010 in Bhisho.

The MEC for Roads and Public Works, Ms Pemmy Majodina will outline the different sub-projects of the programme and the provincial government's plans to honour the contributions of the revolutionary victims and icons of the Bhisho massacre.

The programme is intended to be very short starting from 09h00 to 10h30.
