The Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa Reverend Dr Makhenkesi Stofile will host a press conference on Thursday, 17 June 2010, from 12h00 to 13h00.
The conference will be held in a media room at the Ke Nako Plaza, which is part of the International Football Village, at the Birchwood Hotel, Boksburg.
The key focus is an update on the South African government’s commitment towards the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as the progress and impressions on the tournament thus far. Also in attendance will be Deputy Minister Mr Gert C Oosthuizen as well as the Director-General Mr Vernie Petersen.
