Women professional drivers are among drivers from the public transport system, government and transport companies to receive recognition for their effort to reduce road accidents involving commercial from North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa on Friday, 13 August 2010.
The forty-five public driving permit holders are to be awarded various prizes for their participation in the driver skills enhancement programme to promote driver education and enhance their professional driving image, improve their standard and knowledge of driving.
They fall in the categories female bus and lady drivers, panel van, rigid and trailer truck, articulated truck and male bus drivers. The award ceremony is to be held at Mmabatho Hotel School as from 12h00.
