In response to a global call to the nation to volunteer at least 67 minutes of their time doing good for communities during Mandela Day, the North West MEC for Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Mothibedi Kegakilwe will do his bit by cleaning the Reamogetse disability centre in Bloemhof.
Accompanied by the Executive Mayor of Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district municipality, Kaone Lobelo and the Mayor of Lekwa Teemane local municipality, Rebecca Makodi, will later in the day hand over blankets, mattresses and electrical appliances which will include a microwave, stove and a washing machine.
July 18 is the 92nd birthday of former President Nelson Mandela who spent 67 years in active politics.
