A community development worker (CDW) in Magogong village near Taung, has taken the call to serve his community a step further by establishing a community website.
http://www.magogong.webs.com is the brainchild of Kenny Jampane and will officially be launched on Tuesday, 21 September 2010, Magogong clinic at 10 am under the theme: "Community Empowerment and Information Sharing through Technology".
According to Jampane who is also the Project Manager, the website will be used as an information dissemination hub for community development programmes as well as promoting the use of technology amongst the local residents.
"Our plan for the future is to create employment for young people by establishing a computer centre where basic computer training will be offered to locals for free", he said.
