The Minister of Mineral Resources, Ms Susan Shabangu and the Minister of Energy, Ms Dipuo Peters, will on Tuesday, 23 June 2009, deliver their first Budget Vote speeches in their new portfolios. The debate will take place at 14h00 in Chamber E249 of the National Assembly.
The two Ministers are expected to set their priorities in the context of President Jacob Zuma’s State of the Nation Address.
Members of the media are invited to a press conference to be addressed by the two Ministers immediately after the debate on the Budget Vote from approximately 16h30 to 17h00 at the GCIS Imbizo Media Centre, 120 Plein Street, Parliament, Cape Town.
Members of the media are also invited to the ministers’ gala dinner, to take place at 17h30 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre at which they will be interacting with various stakeholders.
