The North West Department of Health and Social Development has partnered with non-governmental organisations to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Friday, 13 August 2010 in Wolmaranstad. Under the theme “Think Healthy, Not Drugs”, the department aims to raise public awareness on the fight against substance abuse, drug trafficking and to promote preventative measures.
MEC Rebecca Kasienyane will give a keynote address. The media is invited to be part of the commemoration scheduled for 09h00 at Wolmaranstad town hall.
