The MEC for Infrastructure Development, Ms Faith Mazibuko, invites members of the media to spend 67 minutes to contribute to quality education for all, in honour and celebration of our icon's birthday, uTata uNelson Mandela.
The event will take place at Isiqalo Primary School and Simunye Secondary School in Bekkersdal, Westonaria local municipality, on Sunday, 18 July 2010, at 07h30.
In line with a call to contribute to quality education for all, the Department of Infrastructure Development will create safe and cheery schools by refurbishing and painting the above mentioned schools.
Furthermore, MEC Mazibuko will donate much needed books to the schools, which will make reading fun for the pupils.
The MEC will also pay visits to several new school projects across the province during the course of next week.
