Free State Department of Health holds World Premature Day Celebrations on Friday, 15 Nov 2013 at 10h00.
Please come and visit us in the Foyer of N-Block (Maternity section) from 10h00 and celebrate the lives of premature babies and the work all members of staff perform to help them survive.N-Block Entrance Hall (outside Neonatal Unit)
Aim of the day:
- Create awareness for burden of prematurity
- Show case the services for premature babies in Pelonomi
- Raise funds to cater for needs of mothers and babies.
- Celebrate with staff and mothers.
- 10% of all babies are born too soon, every 30 seconds a baby dies somewhere in the world due to prematurity, but 75% of these deaths are preventable.
Come and see for yourself how you can become involved and contribute for a good cause.
It will be a fun day of celebrating our small babies and wear purple.
