Western Cape debates adoption of Report on New Immigration Regulations, 27 Nov

Tomorrow, 27 November 2014 the Western Cape Parliament will debate the adoption of the Standing Committee Report on the New Immigration Regulations.

The report, including its recommendations, was devised after hearings held on the effect of the new regulations introduced by Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba. MEC of Economic Opportunities, Alan Winde, gave input into the report in terms of the economic impact of the stricter visa rules on jobs and tourism numbers in the province.

MEC Winde will take part in the debate.

Several residents and stakeholders affected by the new regulations will also be in attendance.
