DWS Western Cape to host media tour at Theerwateskloof Dam
The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) in the Western Cape invites members of the media to a media tour to be held at Theewaterskloof Dam on Thursday, 08 December 2022.
The purpose of the media tour is to give an update on the state of water in the Western Cape at this time of the year and give progress on the water projects undertaken to increase water supply in the province. Furthermore, the media tour will give context and emphasize the decision taken on 10 November not to impose water restrictions on the Western Cape Water Supply System.
Despite the satisfactory dam storage systems across the Western Cape, there are some pockets of areas of concern. Water users are encouraged to use water sparingly during and beyond the festive season.
