Western Cape municipalities to be handed over awards on Blue, Green and No Drop
The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) in Western Cape will hand over various awards that were scooped by the Western Cape municipalities at the recent water awards ceremony that was held in Gauteng.
On Tuesday, 5 December 2023, DWS released its 2023 Blue Drop, Green Drop and No Drop reports for the country.
Blue Drop provides an assessment of drinking water quality, No Drop Report focuses on water losses and non-revenue water and the Green Drop gives update on the performance of wastewater management systems across all municipalities in the republic.
At this awards ceremony, the Western Cape province has scooped almost every award, which is a good indication of the state of its water.
