Transport rolls out “Thank A Trucker” campaign in Mahikeng, 7 Dec

Thank a trucker campaign highlights the importance of truck drivers in the South Africa, Namibia and Botswana corridor

Truck drivers and carriers play a critical role in the economies of different countries. They ensure seamless and consistent transportation of basic goods to different countries despite challenges they may face.

As a result, the Trans Kalahari Corridor Secretariat (TKCS) would like to acknowledge the role played by carriers in building the economies of the three member states of the TKCS.

The “Thank A Trucker” campaign will be rolled out in South Africa between the 06th and 10th of December 2021 along the N18 in Mahikeng and N4 in Brits.

Namibia’s National Road Safety Council and the Walvis Bay Corridor Group have collaborated with the National Department of Transport and TKCS in this campaign. South Africa, Namibia and Botswana are the member states of TKCS with South Africa being the current Chair of the Secretariat.
