Transport Deputy Minister takes services to communities in Balfour Mpumalanga

Mpumalanga: The Deputy Minister of Transport, honourable Sindisiwe Chikunga will, on 1 August 2013, visit the Local Municipality of Dipaliseng in the Balfour District of Mpumalanga.

As part of the Nelson Mandela Day celebration activities, the Deputy Minister will hand over computers, shoes, blankets and road safety learning material to leaners, children and church congregants in the Mpumalanga province during her visit.

Deputy Minister Chikunga will also interact with motorists, pedestrians and passengers in order to spread the message of road safety in line with the United Nations Decade of Action campaign for Road Safety 2011-2020.

The Deputy Minister will be joined by the Executive Mayor of Dipaleseng, Councillor NS Nhlapo, Chief Executive Officers of the Road Accident fund (RAF), the SA National Roads Agency Limited, Eqstra Fleet Management, MTN and senior national and provincial government officials and key stakeholders in private sector.
