The Deputy Minister of Transport, honourable Sindisiwe Chikunga will deliver a keynote address during the official launch of the Polokwane 2030 Smart Transport Vision at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Indoor Sports Centre in Seshego, Limpopo.
The 2030 Smart Transport Vision will emphasize universally accessible services which give priority to the use of public transport systems while supporting walking and cycling as sustainable methods of travel.
This will also be emphasized in the planning and development of public transport policy and services while factoring the reduction of carbon emissions, encouraging the use of Non-Motorised transport and promoting integrated public transport systems.
During the official launch, Deputy Minister Chikunga will be joined by the MEC for Transport in Limpopo, Honourable L Masoga, Executive members of the Provincial and Municipal Legislatures and senior national and provincial government officials together with key stakeholders in the transport sector.
