Transport Deputy Minister rewards excellence in the road traffic fraternity

Transport Deputy Minister Honourable Sindisiwe Chikunga will give a keynote address at the Road Traffic Management Corporation's (RTMC) Annual National Traffic Chief's Summit and Road Safety Awards Ceremony to be held in the East London International Convention Centre.

The Deputy Minister will be joined by the RTMC Acting CEO Mr Gilberto Martins, Heads of Traffic from across the provinces, key transport stakeholders, senior government officials and the media.

Among the objectives of the Summit, the delegates will also look at, sharing expertise, best practice models and experiences in order to improve the image and professionalism of the fraternity, raising pertinent issues and proposing solutions in order to improve the delivery of services and building the necessary confidence in the road traffic law enforcement profession. Deputy Minister Chikunga will recognise and reward service excellence in officials and individuals who went beyond the call of duty and raised the bar in the fraternity during the event.
