It’s all systems go for the finals of the Gauteng Carnival ‘Battle of the DJs’ competition this coming Saturday, at the Jozi City Club downtown Johannesburg. The winning muso stands to win R50 000 worth of DJ equipment which will allow them to take their career to new heights.
The top-ten who’ll do battle were selected following a series of auditions throughout the province. Each DJ will now be hoping their final set is good enough to walk away with the crown.
The winner will be announced on 7 December during the Gauteng Carnival Music festival at the Johannesburg Stadium. This year’s Carnival is being held as collaboration between Gauteng Government and the City of Joburg.
Guest appearance DJs will include DJ Shimza who previously won the competition two years ago.
