Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor to pay tribute to top researchers in South Africa at the annual National Research Foundation awards

The Minister of Science and Technology, Ms Naledi Pandor, and the CEO of the National Research Foundation (NRF), Dr Albert van Jaarsveld, will pay tribute to top researchers in South Africa at the 2014 NRF Awards ceremony. This prestigious annual award highlights and celebrates the work of those researchers who, according to their peers, have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields.

This year’s NRF Awards are made in the NRF Rating categories of A and P ratings as well as in a number of special categories. The NRF Rating system, which is used to evaluate researchers, is a world respected benchmark based on peer reviews that assesses the quality and impact of the work of researchers.
