The Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Malusi Gigaba and the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Blade Nzimande, in collaboration with the National Skills Fund (NSF) will welcome and introduce the newly-enrolled 1 000 learner artisans for the national pool on Thursday, 31 October in Salt River, Cape Town.
The launch is meant to highlight the collaboration between Government Departments and the strategic role that State-Owned Companies (SOC) are playing in the country’s quest to create jobs, alleviate poverty and provide skills and training for unemployed youth.
The event is a key delivery achievement for Minister Gigaba who identified the optimal use of SOC training facilities as a priority during his 2013 Budget Vote speech.

- Koedoespoort: 250 learners
- Uitenhage: 100 learners
