The professionalisation of the Human Settlements sector

Human settlements Deputy Minister, Zou Kota Fredericks will deliver a key note address at the Human Settlements professional development symposium hosted in partnership with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

In line with the departmental shift from Housing to Human Settlements, the department has placed sector professionalisation and skills development as one of the key drivers aimed at dealing with the challenges of poverty, inequality and unemployment towards.

The symposium will bring together different role players including our communities, to synthesise the best thinking and practice to enhance the professional development of the sector and encourage an active citizenry that will see our communities being drivers of their own development.
