Service delivery improvement activities will tomorrow, Tuesday, 28 October 2014, be taken to Ditsobotla Local Municipality in Ngaka Modiri Molema District as part of the recently launched Setsokotsane Programme. Led by the Premier of Bokone Bophirima Province Mr Supra Mahumapelo, the initiative that seeks to encourage speedy delivery of services to communities will for the next two days be implemented in this local municipality’s most depressed Wards - 1, 15 and 21.

Premier Mahumapelo will kick off the local municipality’s activities by engaging Kgosi Jeff Molete at GaMaloka village on issues of water shortages that affect crop and livestock farming in the area. The engagement will start at 09h00 at GaMaloka village.

The Premier will thereafter pay a courtesy visit to the local Tshepang and Tswaraganang Early Childhood Development Centres where learning equipment will be handed over, before embarking on a walk-about at Itekeng Township’s informal settlement.

At 13h00, the Premier who will be joined by Members of the Executive Council, will lead the grading of gravel roads activity at Phola Township in Lichtenburg.

Setsokotsane Programme which is aimed at pulling all government resources together in a bid to speed up service delivery, eradicate poverty and create a responsive, caring and accountable Government in Bokone-Bophirima was launched early this month in Ngaka Modiri Molema District, and will see the Premier visiting all local municipalities in the area in a bid to address service delivery challenges.
