Premier Modise to handover a thousand title deeds

In an effort to promote home ownership to individuals previously denied an opportunity of owning properties they occupied over many decades, residents of Tlhabane are to receive their title deeds from North West Premier Thandi Modise at the Ben Maree Hall in Rustenburg on Monday.

The ceremony to commence at 10h00 is part of a series to handover over 9 000 properties that were previously held by the North West Housing Corporation.
Similar events to handover title deeds to beneficiaries of the multi-million housing discount benefits scheme will take place across the province in the next few months.

A help-desk has been set up over this weekend at the municipal offices in Tlhabane to fast-track cancellation of charge bonds attached to properties redeemed by the R190 million housing discount benefits scheme and conversion of deeds of grants in possession of occupiers of properties to full title deeds.

Members of the media are invited to cover the event at which the MEC for Human Settlements and Public Safety, Nono Maloyi, Executive Mayors of Bojanala Platinum District and Rustenburg Local Municipality, Councillors Louis Diremelo and Mpho Khunou will coofficiate with Premier Modise.
