Premier Mokgoro to continue roll out of screening, testing and contact tracing in the North West

As part of the ongoing Provincial Screening, Testing and Contact Tracing programme, North West Premier, Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro, will visit various areas of the Province to interact with and encourage residents to undergo voluntary screening and testing so as to assist government in its fight against COVID-19.

Premier Mokgoro, accompanied by Members of the Provincial Command Council, the Executive Mayor of the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, Cllr Justice Makolomakwa, the Acting Mayor of the Ratlou Local Municipality, Cllr Elizabeth Phaedi and Executives from mining company, Harmony Gold, will embark on a dedicated screening and testing programme, which is scheduled to commence as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 20 May 2020
Venue: Ratlou Local Municipality Offices, Setlagole Village
Time: 10h00

Premier Mokgoro will also visit the family of the struggle stalwart Moses Kotane, at Pella village in Madikwe in the Bojanala Platinum District as well as lay a wreath at his gravesite before embarking on the roll out of the screening, testing and contact tracing in Pella Village.

This visit is scheduled to take place as follows:

Premier Mokgoro will be accompanied by Members of the Provincial Command Council as well as the Mayor of the Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Cllr Ralesole Diale.

The entourage will later in the day visit the Moses Kotane Hospital in Ledig near Sun City to get first-hand information on how they are responding to COVID-19 cases in the Bojanala Platinum District; which is the epicenter of the virus in the North West.
