Premier Helen Zille and MEC Debbie Schafer join President Jacob Zuma, Minster Angie Motshekga and Deputy Minster Enver Surty at the hand-over of Kensington High School

Today, 11 September 2014, Premier Helen Zille, and MEC Debbie Schäfer will be joining President Jacob Zuma, National Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga and Deputy Minister Enver Surty, at the hand-over of the replacement school at Kensington High School.

This hand over is part of the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI). ASIDI was initiated in 2011 as a direct response to the replacement of all mud schools and inappropriate school structures in the country.

The programme will result in 25 schools being built over two phases in the Western Cape.
