Premier Mathabatha pays courtesy visit to the Oldest Comrades Marathon Champion.
Limpopo Premier Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will on Thursday 22 June 2023, visit Mr. Johannes Mosehla, the 2023 Comrades Marathon oldest runner.
The purpose of the visit is to meet and celebrate Mr. Mosehla for breaking the 34 year old record that belonged to Comrades Great Wally Hayward in 1989. "I find it befitting to visit Mr. Mosehla, the oldest Comrades Marathon Champion, who is also a record breaker after finishing the race in a jaw-dropping time of 09:25:20.
I want to say to him thank you for doing it for yourself, your family, your community, your district and your province. Indeed today he has done it for the whole country.
That is the reason why I want to personally congratulate and celebrate him", said Premier Mathabatha.
The meet, greet and celebrate Mr. Mosehla's visit is scheduled as follows:
