Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha to lead Limpopo EXCO Imbizo Programme

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will lead his Members of the Executive Council to the EXCO Imbizo Programme. The Premier and his entourage will be going back to the same region which was visited in 2012 and seek to monitor the progress made. In 2012, the EXCO Imbizo Programme took place in Khomele village. The Imbizo Programme is part of government’s commitment to give feedback to our communities.

This feedback session Imbizo forms part of the government’s operation to strengthen intergovernmental relations and seeks to promote interaction between the provincial government leadership and the people for the betterment of their lives.

During the opening of Provincial Legislature in February this year, the Premier of Limpopo made a pledge that this government will continue to interact with communities through EXCO Outreach Programme. It is in this context that some service delivery improvements were made.

Government has since built a house for Ms Muofhe Masithulela of Khomele village. She was living with her daughter and five grandchildren in a shack. They now live in a safe, secure and comfortable decent house.

Meanwhile, the Premier will use the opportunity to officially close Women’s Month programmes. This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Women’s Charter and 20 Years of Freedom.
