Limpopo Premier to launch COVID-19 mass screening and testing campaign
Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will lead the Provincial Command Council on 14 April 2020 to launch the massive coronavirus screening and testing programme in Limpopo at Marapong Township, Lephalale Local Municipality, Waterberg District.
Limpopo Province has recorded 24 COVID-19 cases so far. Waterberg District is the epicenter with 10 COVID-19 cases and the hotspot thereof been Lephalale with 5. The Province has 10 000 volunteers comprises of community health workers, community care givers, lay counsellors, health promotion officers and home based carers. This volunteers are well known in the communities they serve.
