Premier Chupu Mathabatha welcomes learners for Take a Girl Child to Work Day campaign, 28 May

The Premier, Mr. Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will  welcome pupils from identified schools during the Take a Girl Child to Work Day campaign. Leaners from various schools will visit the Office of the Premier to get exposure of a working environment.

Take a Girl Child to Work campaign is an annual corporate social investment event, held in South Africa. Companies involved organise female learners (school pupils), usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, to spend the day at the place of work on the last thursday of May.

The campaign aims to provide girl children in grades 10, 11 and 12 from Kgahlanamorulana senior secondary school and Meetsetshehla secondary school with platforms to deepen their thinking and aspirations about their role in society. All members of the media are invited to cover the event.
