Premier Winde & Minister Allen to launch armoured vehicles & visit construction site of Mossel Bay K-9-unit to assess readiness ahead of launch
On Wednesday, 12 July 2023, Premier Alan Winde and Western Cape Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen, will help to officially launch Mossel Bay Municipality’s two brand new Armoured Personnel Carriers for land invasion prevention and rural safety purposes.
“We are continuously expanding our law enforcement capabilities across our province to make rural communities safer. Residents in rural and farming communities must be able to feel safe as they work hard to keep our province fed,” said Premier Winde.
Western Cape Minister Allen added, “This is an exciting initiative and one that I am looking forward to. It is pleasing to note how municipalities across our province have bought into creating safer spaces. Local residents have much to be proud of.’
