Premier Ace Magashula opens Maria Moroka Resorts, 25 Nov

Maria Moroka resort and reserve receive major facelift

Yet another modern and appealing get away facility has been added in the already exciting range of outdoor facilities owned by the department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in the Free State. After being closed for almost three years, the old dilapidated rondavels at Maria Moroka Resorts have been transformed into six wonderful chalets with a magnificent view of Thaba Nchu Mountain.

The resort ideal for rejuvenating sunrises and memorable sundowners will be officially opened by the honourable Free State Premier; Ace Magashula on 25 November. Talking about the Free State tourism potential, MEC for Destea, Mosebenzi Zwane always says “the biggest challenge and our own undoing, I want to believe, is that we do not aggressively market the resources at our disposal. In the Free State, we always look for short term gains instead of investing time and resources for long term benefits”.

The day`s activities will start in a true tourism style with dignitaries and media transported in luxurious bus from Bloemfontein to Maria Moroka Resort.  Maria Moroka is situated at the foot of the Thaba 'Nchu Mountain on the N8, approximately 80km east on of Bloemfontein.

The details of the event are as follows:
Date: 25 November 2014
Venue: Maria Moroka Resort
Time: 11h00
