Launch of the Provincial Good Green Deeds programme
Mahikeng: Premier of the North West Province, Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro will on Friday, 08 March 2019, launch the provincial Good Green Deeds programme, a ground-breaking national initiative that seeks to change people’s attitudes and behaviours towards responsible management of waste. This programme will be launched at the Mahikeng Taxi Rank at 07h00.
Through this programme, all sectors of society will be mobilised to become more environmentally conscious and adopt a no dumping behavior; and a culture of promoting sustainable waste management practices such as recycling will be created, this with a view to address issues of unemployment through youth and women recycling initiatives.
Premier Mokgoro invites business people, public servants, civil organisations and members of the community to join him for the launch and cleaning up of Mahikeng town and its surrounding areas, this in honour of the clarion call made by President Cyril Ramaphosa to lend a hand and clean our environment.
