Police takes career expo to East London, 5 Aug

The South African Police Service (SAPS), will host a Career Expo Day to educate the youth and communities about careers and professions in the policing value chain. This comes as the Service gears up for the next recruitment drive of 10 000 to be enlisted for the 2024/2025 Basic Police Learning Development Training Programme (BPLDTP). 

The career expo will be held at Sisa Dukashe Stadium (Mdantsane) in Eastern Cape Province on Saturday, the 5th August 2023.

Over and above its crime combatting responsibilities, the SAPS has in its employ: accountants, veterinarians, lawyers, auditors, forensic social workers, and criminal psychologists, to name a few. 

The Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale together with the National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola will be in attendance. 

The event will unfold as follows:

Date: Saturday, 5 August 2023
Venue: Sisa Dukashe Stadium, Mdantsane.

Communities in and around East London are encouraged to come and visit the various SAPS stalls to gain knowledge and exposure to career opportunities offered by the SAPS.
