Police Committee to be briefed on implementation of Independent Police Investigative Directorate recommendations
The Portfolio Committee on Police will tomorrow, 19 November be briefed on how the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID), the South African Police Service (SAPS), Metro Police and Civilian Secretariat for Police plan to address challenges experienced in the monitoring and implementation of recommendations made by IPID regarding disciplinary issues among police officials.
The Committee will also be briefed on SAPS’ turnaround strategy, which is aimed at improving the operation of the SAPS’ Inspectorate unit.
