Labour Committee visits Eastern Cape
The Portfolio Committee on Labour will, from January 28 to 31, embark on an oversight visit to the Department of Labour and its entities in the Eastern Cape.
The purpose of the trip is to gain understanding of any challenges encountered at the provincial office and labour centres; the contingency plans in place and possible assistance that may be forthcoming.
The Committee conducts oversight over the Department of Labour, including its entities, and it covers all the provinces in order to gain a comparative overview of the work of the Executive Authority at provincial level.
