The Portfolio Committee on Police will this Wednesday (27 May 2015) seek answers from the Acting Heads of the Civilian Secretariat for Police and IPID on the delays in the application process for security clearances for top management staff in the two institutions.
Last week, the Committee heard from the State Security Agency that the vetting process of high-ranking officials in the two government department had not been concluded.
The Committee will also receive a report on the implementation of the Domestic Violence Act. The meeting will also see the national and provincial police boards updating the Committee on their establishment, mandate and activities.
