Post Office challenges under microscope
The Portfolio Committee on Telecommunications and Postal Services will on Saturday, 31 October 2015, hold an urgent meeting with the leadership of the South African Post Office and Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services.
The meeting is necessitated by the need to find workable solutions to the current financial and leadership difficulties at SAPO. The Committee seeks to understand how the department, the board and management at SAPO are resolving these financial difficulties as well as addressing leadership gaps within management team with the aim of stabilising the institution.
Furthermore, the Committee will get an update on the non-payment of full salaries to staff following the concerns the Committee raised over the matter.
