The National Council of Provinces meets Auditor-General
The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will tomorrow afternoon hold a workshop with the Auditor-General, Kimmy Makwethu on National and Provincial Audit Outcomes for 2012/13 in the Old Assembly Chamber, Parliament.
The workshop is part of the on-going quarterly engagements between the NCOP and the Auditor-General. The aim of the workshop is to afford an opportunity to the Auditor General to table his report and present a comprehensive assessment on the state of finances, governance practice, performance information and audit status of National and Provincial departments including state entities.
The engagement will provide a synopsis of emerging trends and quarterly audit flashpoints on provincial specific audit outcomes.
In attendance will be the Members of the NCOP, Chairs of Chairs from Provincial Legislatures, Chairpersons of Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA), and both National and Provincial Department of Treasury.
