Parliament holds hearings on alleged Bokamoso community evictions, 26 to 27 May

Petitions committee holds hearings on alleged evictions

The Select Committee on Petitions and Executive Undertakings will this Tuesday and Wednesday hold hearings aimed at investigating the alleged eviction of 700 family members from the Bokamoso community in the Free State province carried out in 2014 by Maluthi-A-Phofung Municipality.

Representations at the hearings will be made by the petitioners, representatives from the Department of Human Settlements and Maluthi-A-Phofung Municipality as well as the local Chief. 

Meeting details are as follows:

On Tuesday, 26 May 2015, Committee Room S12A, Ground Floor, NCOP Building   
On Wednesday, 27 May 2015, Good Hope Chamber
Hearings will start at 08h30 on both days.
