Parliament will be holding a memorial for Mr Michael Coetzee, Secretary to Parliament who passed away on 13 June.
Parliament’s Presiding Officers will lead the memorial.
Former Presiding Officers of Parliament, representatives of all political parties in Parliament, Parliamentary staff, friends of Mr Coetzee, such as Mr Sisa Njikelana former Member of Parliament and trade unionist who worked closely with Mr Coetzee in the 1980s, former Cabinet Minister Mr Trevor Manuel and members of the family are among those expected to attend the memorial.
Mr Coetzee’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday, 21 June at 10h00 at St George’s Cathedral.
Members of the media are invited to both occasions.
