Parliament to hear Social Development Budget Vote

The Department of Social Development’s Budget Vote 2013 will be tabled in Parliament by Minister Bathabile Dlamini on 8 May 2013.

Linked to the Budget Vote, the Minister will also conduct dialogue meetings with various special groups as part of the department’s ongoing effort to engage the groups and gain a better understanding of their aspirations in order to assist them improve their lives.

The dialogue meetings will take place as follows:
8 May, 13h00: Lunch with community care-givers at the Gugulethu Sports Complex
8 May, 18h30: Dinner with children from child-headed households at Pepperclub Hotel, Cape Town
9 May, 09h00: Dialogue with the children from child-headed households at the Gugulethu Sports Complex
10 May, 09h00: Dialogue with parents with children living with autism at the Gugulethu Sports Complex
11 May, 09h00: Dialogue with youths with albinism at the Gugulethu Sports Complex
