Delegates to the National Council of Provinces will this week, 3 to 7 March visit various municipalities in the Western Cape in preparation for the Taking Parliament to the People programme to be held in the province in April.
The municipalities to be visited are: City of Cape Town and Eden District Municipality (Mossel Bay, Hessequa, George, Kannaland, and Oudtshoorn).
These preliminary visits to among others schools, hospitals, housing projects, and water purification facilities will culminate in a public meeting to be held in George on Saturday, 7 March 2015.
The delegations will comprise of Members of the NCOP, Members of the Western Cape Parliament, Councillors of the various municipalities and other stakeholders.
