Rural Development and Land Reform Committee conducts oversight in Mpumalanga Province
On Wednesday, 14 November 2018 the Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform will over the next two days be on a fact finding mission in Mpumalanga Province in respect of the Mhlanganisweni (Malamala) community land claim and the functioning of the N’wandlamhlarhi Communal Property Association.
On Thursday, 15 November 2018 from 09h00 to 12h00 the committee will get a briefing from the Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, the Chief Land Claims Commissioner and other stakeholders on the context and overview of the Malamala land claim at the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate. Thereafter the committee will be at Lilydale Soccer Field opposite Mabharule High School for a meeting with the community from 13h00 to 17h00.
On Friday; 16 November 2018 from 09h00 to 12h00 the committee will meet with the Board of Directors, Communal Property Association Executive Committee, Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform and both the Chief and Regional Land Claims Commissioners on the Malamala land claim.
