Together, Turning Every Workplace into a Training Space The National Skills Authority in conjunction with the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande is convening a national skills conference to be attended by all stakeholders in the post-school education and training system.
One thousand (1 000) delegates will be invited to take part in this conference to ensure high level discussion and maximum stakeholder participation. The national skills conference is scheduled to take place on the 10 and 11 October 2013 in Gauteng.
The objectives of the conference are as follows:
- To receive progress report on the implementation of the NSDS III, Skills Accord and NSF funded projects as well as other interventions on skills development.
- To identify the barriers to NSDS III implementation.
- To share good practice in skills development.
- To review the NSDS III with the aim of improving NSDS IV.
- To consider skills development work done by provinces and to propose effective delivery mechanisms.
