The much talked about Setsokotsane Programme will for the next two months be implemented in the District of Ngaka Modiri Molema, this after its successful execution in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati and Dr Kenneth Kaunda Districts respectively.
In the next two weeks, the Provincial Government and its stakeholders will be rendering the much needed services throughout Ditsobotla Local Municipality, before moving to other local municipalities in this District.
“Taking government services to the people and engaging various community sectors on local economic opportunities are some of the critical deliverables underpinning this programme. We remain confident that through this programme, the lives of our people will be bettered”, maintains Premier Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo.
Premier Mahumapelo further encourages communities in this District to attend the engagement sessions to be organised by various departments and stakeholders as part of Setsokotsane programme, saying these platforms are meant to advance a common understanding of radical socio-economic transformation and social cohesion.
Setsokotsane is a people-centred and service delivery oriented programme which communities have lauded as the most effective approach to fast-tracking delivery of services.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 30 September, the Provincial Leadership will meet with business people from Ditsobotla Local Municipality before visiting New Beginnings community project and handing-over title deeds to housing beneficiaries in Blydeville township near Lichtenburg.
Some of the services that will be delivered this week include amongst others, upgrading of the sewer system in Blydeville, replacement of stolen transformers and commencing the building of pump houses in Bodibe village, as well as the hosting a Cooperatives Empowerment workshop at Itsoseng.
