On Monday, 30 June 2014, the North West Provincial Legislature will be hosting the Youth Sectoral Parliament under the theme; “Youth Taking South Africa Forward” in Legislature Chamber at 10h00.
The North West Provincial Legislature recognises the role of the youth sector in enhancing the development goals of the province. With its core mandate of ensuring effective citizen participation, the event will be a platform for young people to raise their unemployment concerns as well as finding solutions.
The Deputy Minister of Communication, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams including 100 stakeholders from youth league structures of political parties in the Legislature; student organisations in universities in the province; unemployed young people; Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) and young people from four districts in the province will attend the event.
Members of the media are invited to attend. They will also have an opportunity to interact with the Deputy Minister of Communication, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams in a media briefing that will be held after the event.
