North West Legislature hosts Tourism Sectoral Parliament, 28 Nov

On Friday, 28 November 2014, the North West Provincial Legislature will be hosting the Tourism Sectoral Parliament under the theme “The role of Tourism in moving South Africa Forward” at Bakgatla Gate near Moruleng at Moses Kotane Local Municipality at 9h00.

The Legislature recognises the role of tourism as a significant contributor towards the provincial economic growth. Tourism has been identified as one of the three key pillars that are priority sectors that could contribute to economic growth through job creation and is currently contributing towards the Gross Domestic Products (GDP) of the province.

The objective of the event is to provide a platform for stakeholders in the tourism industry to discuss and analyse issues facing them, encourage the participation of tourism sector in the legislative processes and strengthen the relations within tourism in the province.

Different stakeholders from natural tourism attractions, Proudly South Africa, North West Parks and Tourism Board, accommodation and transport industries have been invited to attend the event.
