North West Legislature hosts 20 Years of Democracy celebrations, 5 Dec

The North West Provincial Legislature will host 20 years of democracy celebrations on the 5th December 2014 at Swartfontein Lodge in Vryburg at 10h00.

More than 4 000 people from all four districts of the province will attend the event. The purpose of the event is to review the work of the Legislature as well as to reflect on the successes and failures of the North West government during the two decades of the democratic government. It also presents an opportunity for the Legislature to reflect on how freedom and democracy was achieved and the progress made over the past 20 years.

Part of the celebrations will also be to honour Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati as one of the South African stalwarts based in the North West Province on the contributions she made in changing the face of the Apartheid South Africa to the New democratic South Africa, the democracy that the province is proud of celebrating.

Members of the media interested to attend, should submit their names by filling in the template attached and send back to namhla@nwpl.org.za  not later than Wednesday 3 December 2014 at 13h00.
