On Friday, 29 August 2014, the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature will host the Provincial Women in Dialogue session at Lebaleng near Wolmaranstad at 10h00.
The theme of the dialogue; “The Role of Women in Moving South Africa Forward” will be discussed under the following topic; “Women Defeating Poverty, Unemployment and Inequality in Moving South Africa Forward.”
Premier of the North West province, Supra Mahumapelo will deliver the key note address at the event.
The Legislature recognises the fearless women who marched on 9 August 1956 as a proof beyond reasonable doubt, that women are paragons of human perfection – a bastion against structural and social discrimination that ensured South Africa the democracy and freedom we are enjoying today.
The event will be attended by 2 000 women across the four districts of the province, MECs, Mayors, Speakers and Councillors, women in business, home based-care centres, tertiary institutions and different representatives from government departments. .
