Western Cape innovators will receive a major boost this week with the launch of a multi-million rand incubator and a new fund for the province’s design industry.
This Thursday, 14 August 2014 Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, will officially launch the Design Park and the Innovation Fund.
These programmes are expected to pave the way for Western Cape innovators to bring their products to life, creating companies and jobs as a result.
The Design and Innovation Fund is a pilot project spearheaded by the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism in partnership with the Technology Innovation Agency. They will be implemented by the Cape Craft and Design Institute.
